Program Description
The Food Security Act of 1985, as amended, requires that all persons that produce agriculture commodities must protect all cropland classified as being highly erodible from excessive erosion in return for the receipt of certain USDA benefits.
Program Administration
Both the Farm Service Agency (FSA) and the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) administer these provisions.
